BLOGS IN THE CLASSROOM

As you move on with your website development, there are some questions you should be asking yourself:
  1. What do I want my students to learn?
  2. Will this enhance learning?
  3. Is this something I can get the students to invest in?

This is where your planning process begins. You have to determine what parts of your lesson can your website be beneficial for. For most English teachers, much of your class is built on discussion of what is being studied. As the teacher, you must be able to spark conversation about a general idea, then steer your students' discussion and ideas along the path of analysis. Blogs are great ways to foster discussion and to let students guide their own discovery.

WHY SHOULD WE USE BLOGS?

Read these articles on Blogs. Then look for some examples of classroom blogs and note how they are set up and the discussions that students have.
